The World's largest gathering of baseball coaches is headed to Dallas, Texas from Jan. 3-6, 2019 in what will be the 75th annual ABCA Convention! More than 6,000 coaches are once again expected to attend the event, which features clinics, the ABCA Trade Show, Youth Coaches Session, Expo Theater, meetings, award celebrations and other events.
The convention will kick off on Thursday, Jan. 3 with the opening of the ABCA Trade Show
and the Expo Theater
. The ABCA Trade Show will feature over 300 companies displaying the latest baseball products and innovations while the Expo Theater will have over 20 clinics throughout the event featuring demonstrations by ABCA partners, exhibitors and member coaches.
The 25 main-stage clinics
presented by ATEC will get underway on Friday, Jan. 4. The clinic lineup was put together by ABCA Second Vice President Stu Fritz, Hope College, and ABCA Third Vice President Dan McDonnell, University of Louisville. The clinics will take place in the Texas Ballroom in the Gaylord Texan and will feature a 20-foot-by-60-foot LED Wall as well as multiple other LED screens to provide a great viewing experience for members.
In its second year, the Youth Coaches Session
presented by GameChanger hosts about 15 clinics tailored specifically for coaches of youth-level teams up to age 14. The session will take place on both Friday, Jan. 4 and Saturday, Jan. 5 and is open to all registered attendees.
Other planned events include the ABCA/Diamond Hall of Fame Banquet
to honor the Lefty Gomez Award
recipient and the ABCA Hall of Fame Class of 2019
as well as "Hot Stove" Discussions, Rookie Coaches Mentorship Meeting and more!
All coaches that register and check-in on site will once again receive all clinic videos for free after the convention. In addition to the main stage clinic, Youth Coaches Sessions as well as Expo Theater presentations will be available on www.ABCAvideos.org
