Mark Johnson, former head coach at Texas A&M and Sam Houston State University, amassed a 1,043-564-3 (.649) record. Notable achievements include leading Texas A&M to two College World Series appearances and 13 NCAA playoffs, winning conference titles, and producing numerous winning seasons, including a school-record 58-7 in 1989. Johnson had 108 players drafted and 93 percent of his student athletes graduated. He served as chairman of the ABCA Board of Directors and was President in 1994.
