Tim Mead, the all-time winningest coach in Walsh University history, enters his 41st season in 2025 with 939 career victories, ranking 15th among active NCAA Division II coaches. Under his leadership, Walsh has achieved six consecutive postseason appearances in the G-MAC, highlighted by a conference championship in 2022. His program has also excelled academically, earning the ABCA Academic Excellence Award for nine consecutive years, with over 80% of his players maintaining a GPA above 3.0. Off the field, Mead serves as the chairman of the ABCA Hall of Fame Committee and the Veterans' Hall of Fame Committee, playing a significant role in shaping the sport’s legacy. A former ABCA President (2011) and NAIA Baseball Coaches Association President (2003-2005), he was honored with the prestigious Robert E. Smith Lifetime Achievement Award in 2017 for his lifelong contributions to the game. A Walsh graduate (’81) and member of the Walsh Wall of Fame, Mead has dedicated his career to developing student-athletes and fostering character, both on and off the field.
