Hall of Fame head coach Jeff Willis has built LSU Eunice into a junior college baseball powerhouse during his 23 seasons as skipper of the Bengals. With a remarkable .823 winning percentage and over 1,050 career victories, Willis leads all active collegiate coaches in wins. Under his guidance, LSU Eunice has captured eight NJCAA National Championships, the second most in NJCAA history, and made 11 World Series appearances. Willis's Bengals have never finished a season ranked lower than seventh nationally. A two-time College Baseball Hall of Fame Skip Bertman National Coach of the Year (2018, 2024), Willis has earned seven NJCAA National Coach of the Year honors and was inducted into both the NJCAA Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame (2023) and the ABCA Hall of Fame (2024). Beyond championships, Willis has helped more than 240 players transition to four-year programs, with 60 going on to be drafted by MLB teams. Known for his high standards both on and off the field, Willis remains a transformative figure in junior college baseball and an inspiration to his players and peers alike.
