In 32 seasons as West Chester's baseball coach, W.B. Killinger's teams were 328-153-9. As the Golden Rams football coach, Killinger's 23-year record was 146-39-12, including seven outright or shared Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference championships. His last four teams had a 32-3 record. Killinger also coached basketball at West Chester for six seasons, compiling a 65-41 mark.
A professor on the West Chester State College faculty for 36 years, Killinger was a dedicated and inspiring teacher, popular dean of men, counselor, and coach until his retirement in 1970.
Killinger's was inducted into the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame in 1964 and the National Football Foundation and College Football Hall of Fame in 1966.
