Dan Jessee coached both baseball and football at Trinity College. He coached the football team from 1932 to 1966, with four years off for military service during World War II. From 1935-61 and 1963-67, his baseball teams went 239-170-5. In football, his record was 150-76-7. Upon his retirement, Trinity College named its football field Dan Jessee Field. He served as President of the American Football Coaches Association. He also coached squash for 12 years. Prior to his coaching career, Jessee played professional baseball and appeared in one game for the Cleveland Indians. He played football, baseball, and basketball at Pacific University in Oregon. He received a master's degree from Columbia University.
