Pat Daugherty

Indian Hills Community College (IA)
Inducted in 1998

Pat Daugherty served as the Indian Hills Community College head baseball coach from 1965-82. He was also an assistant football coach during his time on the Centerville campus. During his coaching tenure in Centerville he compiled a record of 640–245 (.723). Daugherty led the Falcons to their first ever trip to the Junior College World Series in 1973 and took them back to the series again in 1981. During his final years at Indian Hills, Daugherty also managed for the Montreal Expos in their minor league organization. After leaving Indian Hills Daugherty continued to work for the Expos before taking a job with the Colorado Rockies, where he served as scouting director and special assistant to the General Manager. In 2012, Daugherty was inducted into the Indian Hills Community College Hall of Fame, and the IHCC field is named in his honor.
