Paul Amen coached baseball at the United States Military Academy from 1943-1954, going 133-76-7. A founding member of the ABCA, Amen served as ABCA President in 1952.
A two-time Atlantic Coast Conference Coach of the Year, Amen later served as head football coach at Wake Forest University, leading the Demon Deacons to an 11-26-3 overall record and a 7-19-1 ACC record from 1956-1959.
As a player, Amen was a member of the first U.S. Olympic baseball team in Berlin in 1936.
Amen is a member of the Nebraska Football and Basketball Hall of Fame and a recipient of the University of Nebraska Builder's Award.
