Cliff Gustafson was the head baseball coach at the University of Texas from 1968-96. In 29 seasons, he led the Longhorns to a 1,427-373-2 (.792) record and 22 Southwest Conference titles.
Named the 1982 and 1983 National Coach of the Year, Gustafson guided Texas to College World Series titles in 1975 and 1983.
In all, Gustafson coached 133 All-SWC players, nine SWC Players of the Year, six Academic All-Americans, 35 First-Team All-Americans, 12 Second-Team All-Americans, and nine Third-Team All-Americans.
Gustafson is a member of the College Baseball Hall of Fame, the Texas Sports Hall of Fame and the Longhorn Hall of Honor.
