Red O'Hora spent 23 years (1950-72) as head coach of the Colgate Red Raider baseball program. During his tenure his squads compiled a 238-198-4 record, including three trips to the NCAA District playoffs and a trip to the College World Series in 1955.
O'Hora, a graduate of Penn State University, came to Colgate in 1948 as an assistant coach and became head baseball coach a year later. He served for several years as freshman football and basketball coach before relinquishing those duties in the early '60s.
As an undergraduate at Penn State, O'Hora was a three-year starter for the Nittany Lions nine and led the nation in hitting with a .502 average.
O'Hora was inducted into the Colgate Hall of Honor in 1983.
