The American Baseball Coaches Association and Traveling Teams have announced the six ABCA member coaches that have been granted a 2023 ABCA Convention Scholarship. The scholarship covers the registration cost for the coach to attend the 2023 ABCA Convention and each recipients also receives a $400 stipend to use towards other convention-related costs.
Members were able to apply for the 2023 ABCA Convention Scholarship from November 14 through November 27. The six recipients were then selected by Traveling Teams and the ABCA from the hundreds of applications.
2023 ABCA/Traveling Teams Convention Scholarship Recipients:
- Jim Hempel, Gross Catholic High School (NE)
- Russ McNickle, Independent
- Adam Millard, Franklin County High School (VA)
- Stan Montalbo II, Central Valley Thunder Baseball (CA)
- Jonathon Smith, Mid-Del Avengers Baseball (OK)
- Josh Steiner, Buena High School (CA)
Each recipient receives:
Free Convention Registration for the 2023 ABCA Convention
$400 stipend to cover other convention-related costs
