The American Baseball Coaches Association has announced a new partnership with Hour-A-Thon, a team fundraising platform. Hour-a-thon joins the ABCA as a Single Partner and has been named Official Fundraising Partner of the ABCA.
“We are excited to begin our new partnership with Hour-A-Thon,” said ABCA Executive Director Craig Keilitz. “Coaches have such busy schedules between games, practice time, field maintenance, scheduling and more that there's often not a lot of time left to fundraise for their team. Hour-A-Thon can help coaches not only raise money for their programs but do so with a minimal time commitment."
Hour-A-Thon is an innovative ONE HOUR fundraiser that makes it easy for all levels of baseball teams to get much needed funding. Baseball teams typically raise $10,000-$20,000 with the Hour-A-Thon and the program has access to the funds raised in less than a week after the Hour-A-Thon concludes. Each program is assigned an Hour-A-Thon Fundraising Specialist to directly run the program with coaches. Hour-A-Thon is a LIVE fundraising experience that does not use e-mail; it only involves a direct text from players followed up by a "personal touch" phone call which in turn becomes a donation.
Hour-a-thon, which exhibited at the 2021 Virtual ABCA Convention, will have an expanded presence in the ABCA and at the 2022 ABCA Convention in Chicago. The Official Fundraising Partner will host a presentation on successful fundraising tactics at the Expo Theater at the 2022 ABCA Convention.
