ABCA/Driveline Convention Scholarship Recipients

Convention Scholarship

The American Baseball Coaches Association announced the recipients of the ABCA/Driveline Convention Scholarship Program. For the first time ever, ABCA & Driveline Baseball teamed up to give away eight convention scholarships that will cover convention registration and other associated costs for convention attendees. Over 500 applications were submitted from Monday, October 1, 2018 through Sunday, October 14, 2018. Winners were selected randomly and announced on the ABCA Calls from the Clubhouse podcast on Tuesday, October 16.

The 2019 ABCA/Driveline Convention Scholarship Recipients are:

Jason Barrett, Volunteer State Community College (TN)
Andrew Berger, Franklin High School (OR)
Brad Hamilton, Bondurant-Farrar High School (IA)
Jason Hampton, Yuba College (CA)
Zachary Johnston, Concordia University Ann Arbor (MI)
Matthew Judkins, Palm Beach Gardens High School (FL)
Will Lintern, Great Britain Baseball
Griffin Rod, Moscow High School (ID)

Each recipient will receive:

  • Free Convention Registration for 2019 ABCA Convention
  • $400 stipend to cover convention costs

  • The ABCA Convention is the World's Largest Baseball Convention. The 2019 Convention is the 75th annual convention featuring four days of non-stop baseball including coaching clinics, ABCA Trade Show, networking, "Hot Stove" Discussions, award celebrations and more!
